"I have always loved creating, whether through painting, sketching, or teaching, but discovered my passion for pastels when I agreed to enroll in a pastel class with my sister. It is the incredible range of colors that can be captured with pastels, from vibrant to muted tones, that I continue to find intriguing. My pastel paintings are inspired by the diversity of Colorado's landscape, from the vast openness of the prairies to the rugged terrain of the rockies. I love to capture the smallest of details in a dew-laden rose, and the interplay of lights and colors on rivers and lakes. It is my hope that these painings will inspire a sense of wonder and appreciation for the immense strength and fragility of nature."
